Camp Vallée du Tarn

Navigation to the South of France: Chemin de Candou, Courris......

With the 'normal' car, it doesn't matter which route you take to get to the campsite, but if you have a van, motorhome or caravan wider than 1.80 m and taller than 2.10 m, you won't be allowed to go through the tunnels and it's best to follow the directions below:

🤍Coming from the A75, Google wants you off the motorway well before Millau.... Don't! Only go over the (toll) bridge towards Albi (D999) and then don't be tempted to take an exit before Alban! 
On the D999, between Alban and Villefranche-d'Albigeois, take the exit to the right in the bend, D74 towards Ambialet / Vallée du Tarn. Immediately in Ambialet, make a sharp right turn towards "Vallée du Tarn" / Trébas.

At the next junction keep left/turn left towards Trébas en Courris (D700).
Directly over the narrow bridge, before the small tunnel you will see our sign and turn left. Keep left (Chem. de Candou) and after 1.5 kilometres you will see us appear.

💚If you come with a caravan, the A20 (Montauban) is preferable, as this road is flatter and therefore better if you are travelling heavily. Again, don't be tempted to take shortcuts. You drive via Montauban to Gaillac (D999). Then via the A68 towards Albi and take the exit to Millau (D999).

On the D999 between Albi and Villefranche-d'Albigeois, take exit D77 towards Ambialet. Note that close to Albi, the first exit is D77 towards St Juéry and Les Avalats. It is NOT that one.

In Ambialet, turn right through a rock gate. Take the next exit to the left towards "Vallée du Tarn" / Trébas.

At the next junction, keep left/turn left towards Trébas en Courris (D700).

P.S. Useful to know:

- Ambialet has a very small shop for basic necessities

- Our baker does not deliver bread on Mondays

- A nice, spacious Carefour Contact can be found in Alban, which is 17 km away

- The Sparretje in Trébas (11 km) is open every day in summer
